Bookshop meet cute at Book Bar, 30s and over

About this night.

A little older. A little wiser. Still open to a good meet cute.

Book Bar and Bored of Dating Apps are teaming up for our first ever 30+ singles social, an evening of people who have done the swiping, survived the small talk, and are ready to try meeting someone the old fashioned way: in real life. Because dating should get better with age. So should the way you meet.

Set inside Book Bar, the evening is designed to make connecting feel natural, relaxed, and actually enjoyable. Think good drinks, genuinely good conversation, and a room full of people who are there for the same reason: to meet someone new.

No speed dating. No forced rotations. No awkward timers. And no algorithms deciding who you should talk to. Instead, this is an informal singles social where conversations have room to unfold naturally. Our BODA hosts will be there throughout the evening to welcome you, make introductions, help spark conversations, and step in as your professional wing people whenever you need them.

What to expect: an intimate, relaxed evening at Book Bar, a room of singles aged 30 and over, organic mingling and genuinely good conversation, hosts to help make introductions without pressure, a respectful and welcoming environment, and a coffee, glass of wine, beer or tea on the house.

Need to know: this event is for singles of all backgrounds and orientations. The venue staff are here to work, not mingle, so please keep the flirting to your fellow BODA attendees. We aim for a balanced mix of guests but cannot guarantee gender ratios. All ticket sales are final. By attending, you consent to photo and video capture for event and social use.
